Back from India and Back to Home Life 9th Nov. 2010

So India - quite an adventure and for sure an experience of a lifetime! The girls came to meet me with their papa at the station and since then we have been in a whirlwind of closing the summer house up, moving to the mountains where it has already snowed (quite a change from chennai and the 35 degrees we left only a few days ago) and now installed in Les Brevieres and back to teaching. Trying to keep up the level of practise I had in India but the lack of heat on the body takes it toll - also the girls need my attention often and I am glad to give it as and when work permits......I try and practise with them around so that they don't see yoga as something I do hidden away - in a flat that's not hard anyway as there are no hiding places so postures get used as a climbing framce very often.....Life back to normal I suppose. Classes started today in Ste Foy and Tignes and actually really nice to get back to teaching again....take care all namaste

Rebirth for 2013 As we arrive at the end of this challenging year we can all be responsible for small and major changes in the universe around us. As we decide to change and vibrate differently in our own lives and in our interactions with those around us. Despite the global challenges and the foreboding messages that we have been approaching the end of the world, the world we live in is still an amazingly beautiful place. We can choose to stay in the dogma and negativity of the media and the general mélé of the world or we can choose to take this « end » as a new begginning, one where each and every one of us can live life to the full, with just a little more love and gratitude, with just a touch more lightness, with loving kindness emitting from the heart. Its the year of the horse…..

2014 and galloping It has been a while since I penned a yogic mummy text but I have not been static. Life has moved into a pace I can only call frantic and the days are getting longer and nights shorter – ie I am eating into the night time hours to catch up on things I just have not been able to cram into the spaces of time I have. Life has changed rather radically as I moved out familiar surroundings and into a new home, as I started to share my children’s time with my husband and we both got used to being apart after 14 years together, as the Winter season has kicked in a pace with new students, rooms, time schedules and as all sorts of new projects get under way…… But despite all the change, late nights, tiring days there a few amazing and beautiful things that are surfacing and that make me realise a) I have made totally the right decision to act on the deepest truths within me and b) that I am extremely lucky to have the life I have.
