Life never ceases to be full and full of great moments....yoga in my garden on Thursday evening was a pure delight was some great yoginis, the sounds of Yoga Sol and album brought together by Shiva Rea with a great Summer Time version, nature's evening harmony with evening birdsong and the children running around the garden with innoncence flying in their hair! Friday and a fabulous bike ride in the Ardeche mountains, a swim in the pool to cool down from the ever increasing heat here, a rehearsal full of excited girls dancing to Its Not About the Money and a gently evening with the kids and the neighbours children and Over the Hedge.
Juggling that and yoga practise, cleaning gites, booking for new weeks to come and the new web site....life is very far from being calm and dull. And tonight for the first time I am singing in my newly formed band Ailes de Papillon with Nick at Cafe Flo in St Pierreville....ooof!!!!
I am certainly blessed with some fabulous activities and a full agenda.... desperately looking forward to a quiet week on the beach at Gruissan in a week's time! Love and light. charlotte

Its the year of the horse…..

2014 and galloping It has been a while since I penned a yogic mummy text but I have not been static. Life has moved into a pace I can only call frantic and the days are getting longer and nights shorter – ie I am eating into the night time hours to catch up on things I just have not been able to cram into the spaces of time I have. Life has changed rather radically as I moved out familiar surroundings and into a new home, as I started to share my children’s time with my husband and we both got used to being apart after 14 years together, as the Winter season has kicked in a pace with new students, rooms, time schedules and as all sorts of new projects get under way…… But despite all the change, late nights, tiring days there a few amazing and beautiful things that are surfacing and that make me realise a) I have made totally the right decision to act on the deepest truths within me and b) that I am extremely lucky to have the life I have. THIS IS THE STORY OF AN ORDINARY GIRL MY BODY, MY BATTLE HAVE YOU HAVE HAD THE FEELING THAT YOU WERE NOT IN THE RIGHT BODY? TO NOT BE STANDING IN YOUR FULL NATURAL ESSENCE? Have you ever had the feeling or have the feeling that you are burying, hiding who you are? Let me explain ….. As a young girl I was always   a bit “too big” in all senses of the word – too tall, too large, too much. I always felt a bit different, I spoke loudly, I was always loud, always “too much”. I never felt like I looked like or acted like the other “little girls”.   I went o my ballet class just like the other girls and just like them dreamt of being a ballet dancer on the big stage, graceful and full of light elegance. In my head I was that beautiful ballet dancer, the reality was very different. Ballet dancer in the skin of a “big fat cow”! As a young girl I read a book called “Clumsy Clara”…. For thse who know me you will know that my body has been quite an issue over the years and if anyone had told me I would be photographed in HD in a magazine doing yoga poses I would have said you are mad! But in the March edition of Esprit Yoga you can see me doing the advanced sequence of poses and preparation for mermaid pose. I hope you like them - go and buy the magazine if you are in France...... Life continues to be manic as I progress with the festival, web site, the school holidays (thank god for Mélodie and her independance and the amazing Village des Enfants in Val) ..... can I get any busier? No; But is it all well and lenty of fun projects afoot too Who said being a yogini was about meditating and chilling out all the time? I have never been busier or happier!
